Simone Reeves, MD and Liverpool Echo Award winner, has had a year of things to celebrate following her and her dance troupe winning Rio Carnival 2019 alongside Mangueira Samba School and now her local performance company is celebrating 10 years of brightening up events with an abundance of energy and colour.
Simone began teaching Samba dancing 13 years ago in Liverpool, which quickly became popular in such a culturally diverse city. From there she trained up her dancers to their best ability and created her independent dance company who would go on to perform in local club Alma de Cuba, Mobo Awards at the then Liverpool Echo Arena, restaurants, weddings and festivals in the city and worldwide.
Headlining the exciting celebrations at the Cavern Club will be Brazilian sensational band Quintal Do Samba, who will be travelling from London to give a taste of Brazil in the form of Pagode, Pop and Samba. This incredible band plays all across the world and even Jamie Oliver has said ‘…they are the best of the best’
Also performing will be local drummers Katumba and Viva Samba Shows themselves plus DJ Lee will be bringing you the best tracks from Brazil, including Funk and Axe.
