A lively two-day gathering, celebrating and connecting communities of innovators, inventors, leaders, makers and creators of our future.
Northern Power House is a phrase that commands tabloids whilst often forgetting Liverpool’s input into the scene. Not for the first time, Liverpool is a city that has been underestimated and not for the first time, we’re excited to prove them wrong. Areas such as Baltic Triangle and more have been rebranded as the creative quarter. A plethora of businesses that show innovation happens outside of The Big Smoke. From drone flyers to game makers, they’re putting our city on the digital map and for that, we need a festival.
Born out of Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle, the Binary Festival will put the city’s exciting, blossoming digital community centre stage. It will attract new business, new ideas and new people to be part of Liverpool’s digital revolution. Day one of the Festival will offer a series of Binary Gatherings – showcasing the great work and talent of the digital sector within the Baltic Triangle and across Liverpool. Day Two will focus on the Binary Keynotes which will take place at FACT – a day of inspiring talks from great speakers with new insights and fascinating ideas.
Liverpool’s Binary Festival has announced its final programme of keynote speakers and satellite events, adding contributors from High Street fashion to high energy physics to the inaugural two day gathering of the city’s creative and tech sectors. On Tuesday and Wednesday 24-25 May 2016, Liverpool’s first Binary Festival will take place, showcasing the city’s tech and creative capabilities and drawing internationally renowned speakers to tell their own stories about their experiences at the ‘digital revolution’ frontline.
The finalised Keynotes and Gatherings underline the city’s diverse strengths, with a programme spanning well-established local creative talent, through eHealth and virtual reality technology, to new perspectives on commercial and social enterprise. The Binary team has put together a programme that begins to capture just how diverse – and sometimes eclectic – the city’s tech strengths are, and we’re confident that this two day event will inspire further creativity, collaboration and growth in the sector”.
