The popular Netflix series is getting its own night in Liverpool and plans to be equal parts nostalgia and groovy.
We all love a bit of Netflix binge. Going into a new series vaguely interested because your mates won’t shut up about it and ending up watching the whole first series in one sitting and taking the day off work. Telling yourself “just one more episode” and being prepared to seriously hurt anyone who gives spoilers. Netflix isn’t for the fainthearted. If this sounds like you, you’ll be made up to hear that “Stranger Things” is about to get it’s own club night with a strong 80’s theme and the whole of the soundtrack on Vinyl. It’ll be at 24 Kitchen St, the intimate, mixed-use independent music and arts space that stands for good times. Expect spirits, glasses and the occasional roof to be raised.
The thrilling Netflix-original drama starring award-winning actress Winona Ryder as Joyce Byers, who lives in a small Indiana town in 1983 — inspired by a time when tales of science fiction captivated audiences. When Joyce’s 12-year-old son, Will, goes missing, she launches a terrifying investigation into his disappearance with local authorities. As they search for answers, they unravel a series of extraordinary mysteries involving secret government experiments, unnerving supernatural forces, and a very unusual little girl.
