The most important meal of the day just got a lot more important.
A concept store challenges the limitations of a traditional retail unit. REX is a miniemporium harnessing the best and brightest independent brands and bringing them to the high street, but is is so much more than just a store. REX is about the experience. It is about bringing something different to the high street and combining retail space with creative areas for socialising and collaboration. REX: The Concept Store on Bold Street have long been supporters of the excellent work that John Finnigan and the team at Liverpool Homeless FC have undertaken to help combat the effects of homeless in the city, and now REX are doing their bit to try and spread the word a little further.
At the front of their Bold Street store, the team at REX have installed a Pay as You Feel Cafe and Cereal Bar in aid of Liverpool Homeless FC. With tea, coffee and a selection of cereals available to choose from, all that is asked is that you consider a donation to LHFC. Liverpool Homeless FC have been working away for nearly 10 years, using football as a means for social integration and part of a wider support network to combat the effects of homelessness. Having been recognised with both local and national awards from Liverpool Echo and Sky Sports respectively, LHFC continue to grow from strength to strength but could always use a helping hand in their quest.
Gary Carney, Director at Revolver Retail added;
“Being based in the city centre, we are all too familiar with the visible effects of homelessness, and how difficult it is for those affected by it to break out of that. We have a store in a prime location so its only right that we use this opportunity to promote the Liverpool Homeless FC, raise their profile and hopefully funds too, so that they can continue to from strength to strength.”
Ann O’Byrne Deputy Mayor at Liverpool City Council, who is a supporter and advocate of the work undertaken by LHFC said;
“Liverpool Homeless FC are a fantastic organisation that work in the city to help combat the effects of homelessness. Initiatives such as this one help to raise the profile of the organisation as a whole and will hopefully drive it forward so that they can continue their excellent work”
REX is open 10am-7pm Mon to Sat, 11am-5pm on Sundays.
