Say hello to Liverpool’s newest restaurant specialising in 100% gluten free.
On the beautiful Sir Thomas Street, a new restaurant and tea bar has just opened with picturesque views, Instagrammable plates of food and a pretty mean looking cheese board. Looks pretty ordinary, huh? How wrong. The gluten-free and vegan community has grown in strong numbers as of late. This has encouraged chefs and restauranteurs to redesign menus and offer something exciting and enticing. Over the past few months vegan-only restaurants have cut the big red ribbon, gluten-free pie making companies have flourished and now Jam is about to open, your new favourite place for a cuppa.
The brainchild of Joe and Ann Marie Matthews, Jam is 100% gluten free showcasing the best of Liverpool. It uses Calum Edge & Sons for its meat, Wards for its fish and Liverpool Cheese Company for its cheese. The best of Merseyside on a plate. It’s a pretty place to do lunch and enjoy afternoon tea with 25 flavours of tea on offer. A quite delicious form of patriotism. By night, the menu changes and evolves into a modern British restaurant with a ever-changing restaurant depending on seasonality and what the producers have in that week. This provides the perfect excuse to return as no two dining experiences will ever be the same.
