Sun, BBQ and beats.
Well, maybe the first of the three is optimistic, it is the United Kingdom after all. No matter what the weather, you need to get to The Garden Get Down on the 16th July to help raise some vital funds for North West Cancer Research and a boogie at the same time.
Featuring a hotbed of local talent including No FaKin Djs Mixnots Pooky Danny FitzGerald Radio Exotica Chris McBride Elliot Hutchinson and event organiser Andy James we’ll be bringing the best in Funk, Soul, Jazz, Afrobeat and Latin. Be warned; such music is likely to make you dance, no matter your level of talent or two left feet so beware of the Snapchatters in your group, or it could be your moves on display.
That all sounds fantastic but like most scenarios in life, we’re asking, where’s the food? The Kazimier Kitchen will be serving up mega food including lamb burgers, Slow Cooked Pork Baguettes, veggie burgers, spiced chicken and rice and halloumi and falafel flatbreads. One of each please.
As the event is to raise awareness and funds for North West Cancer Research, the guys behind it will be inviting everyone to get involved with their #SuncreamSelfie to raise awareness of Sun safety and skin cancer in the North West. You only have to be burnt once to be at risk of getting skin cancer!
