There’s no taste like home.

Happy Global Scouse Day everybody, the day we get the big pan out and cook up a scouse storm. I think we can all agree, there’s nothing quite like a big bowl of scouse. The word comes from ‘lobscouse’, a stew commonly eaten by sailors throughout Northern Europe, which became popular in seaports such as Liverpool. So you’re asking yourself, how can I get involved? Taking part is simple; cook some scouse yourself or head somewhere where it is on the menu. Whether you’re a beetroot or red cabbage kinda person, lamb or beef, meat or blind, the big idea behind today is to celebrate our culture and embrace our heritage. Any excuse for a pan of scouse is good enough to deem anything national day worthy. If you don’t fancy making some yourself, here’s a pretty huge list of the places that are. Enjoy!
