The leap of a lifetime in the name of charity.

This August, take the plunge in Calderstones Park and do something truly breath-taking for the people of Liverpool. Ever wanted to bungee jump? The adrenaline junkie on your shoulder does and you should listen to it for the good of charity. The Reader Organisation is an award-winning charity working to connect people with great literature – and connect people through great literature. This isn’t ‘just’ reading. What they do changes and sometimes saves lives. Never underestimate the power of a page-turner. They’re hosting a festival on the 8th and 9th August with local food, stalls with handmade and heartfelt on display and of course, a bungee jump. Obviously.

We’ve got a half price discount code for all our lovely cardholders. That includes entry to the festival and stalls as well as your 150ft Bungee! Not just that but you’ll be helping to raise vital funds for the renovation of Calderstones Mansion, a Grade II listed building that The Reader Organisation is transforming into the heart of a community hub at Calderstones Park. As well as being a place where local people can take some time out to read, relax and enjoy the park, the Mansion will also take its place on the global stage as the first International Centre for Reading and Wellbeing – a place where everyone can enjoy the life-enhancing benefits of shared reading, from the rest of the UK and beyond.
