A life of cycling and good coffee; what more could you want?

Everybody, meet Ryde – the exciting new cycle coffee house in Liverpool. A coffee shop, bike workshop, selling parts, accessories and clothing that offers the perfect place to refuel after a day of pedal pushing. The coffee culture and cycling community are both strong in Liverpool and this is an exciting way for them to both come together. All in the beautiful courtyard of Cains Brewery, next to a plethora of independents ranging from antique and vintage offers to The Wild Loaf bakery. The inside is real simple. They’ve paid homage to the beautiful archietecture the courtyard already possesses but we have a sneaky feeling the outdoor area will be the place to be this summer.

The best part about Ryde is the bike workshop aspect. Where else can you fix those pesky punctures and indulge on incredible coffee? The coffee, oh the coffee. Liverpool isn’t short of haunts offering a good cup of joe but this has gone straight into our favourites. It’s strong and robust; kind of like a good bike and is the perfect place to go when you’re so tired that even your coffee needs a coffee. Fear not coffee drinkers, there’s a whole host of hot drinks and wonderful cakes to reward you after a long cycle that will just taste so much better than normal cake.

Ryde was founded by three people sharing the same dream – to combine some of their favourite things to create something unique for the city of Liverpool. The three of them all worked together as cycling instructors with various schools and groups around the city, which they thoroughly enjoyed as this enabled them to spend lots of time on their favourite form of transport bikes. They’re a trio of running enthusiasts, ex-marine’s and outdoor activity specialists but they all have one common love: bikes.

Again, another exciting place to add to the huge range of quirky independents opening. Make sure you visit it. Like them on Facebook here to keep up to date.
