The cup of coffee people couldn’t imagine life without.

Bold Street Coffee has been a firm favourite of Liverpudlians since it first opened its doors in 2010, when it quickly became recognised as one of the go-to places for a great coffee and flavoursome meal. Since then, the venue has acquired a loyal customer base, so it was to the dismay of many when it announced its closure a couple of years ago due to maintenance issues.

We get up, we get ready and we all find ways to get through the day. We find happiness within chaos and balance within variables. Some find solace in privacy and silence and some escape through the company of others. Enter Bold Street Coffee, where both are welcome and the one constant is good coffee. We weren’t the only ones left heartbroken after Bold St Coffee’s doors closed but after various pop-ups around the city and a successful Kickstarter they re-opened again late 2018.

Despite what felt like an eternity, when Bold Street Coffee re-opened it had such a familiar feel. Yet, it had grown up quite a bit. A bit like a friend who went off travelling, they’re still an old friend but there’s something different. The new benches bring people together and blur the lines between strangers and friends and the awesome new kitchen has meant the already great food has gone up a notch. The new kitchen has also allowed them to start a series of pop-up dinners for great causes. The coffee, as expected, is still silky smooth, velvety goodness that will give you a healthy injection of life.

For those mornings our coffee needed a coffee, for the days we swore we’d never get through and for the Wednesdays Stan Ambrose plucked at his harp and our hearts. Thank you for the business meetings, the hellos, the goodbyes, the catchups. The first dates, the last dates and the ones in between. The sit downs, the takeaways and the “we’re closing now”s. Bold Street coffee was and is more than a coffee shop and it has been there for us for more than 7 years. It’s good to have you back, old friend.
