The Bootle Music Festival is back on the 6th and 7th of July.
After last year’s great success, the team at SAFE Regeneration, along with our wonderful sponsors has pulled together the BMF2019 – a weekend of amazing music, family activities, food, fun and canoes! And under 10s go FREE. Come along and help them celebrate all that is great about our town – the people, the music, the stories… and the best bit is any profits from the event will be completely reinvested in the community.
The main stage line-up is a special one – including the lovely Tommy Scott, back to headline Saturday with his full band SPACE; The FARM are their Sunday headliners and they are delighted to welcome guitar legends Glenn Tilbrook (Squeeze) and Nick Harper as well as Dodgy – celebrating 25 years of their Britpop classic album ‘Homegrown’; Bootle’s own The Real People are back playing to the home crowd, Brazilian legends Adillia’s Place will get everyone on their feet; incredible Soul, Blues & Jazz from Xander & the Peace Pirates and The Deportees and throw into the mix Mercury – an amazing Queen tribute band that will most definitely Rock You!
Add to that their unique canal-side stage which will be home to 12 local artists showcasing everything from seasoned performers to new, emerging talent. That’s 23 acts over 1 weekend – all for just £25 (or £15 per day) and free for under 10s. The family zone has some very cool free stuff like canoeing, climbing walls, yoga, alternative therapies, meditation, visual art ‘zendoodling’ workshops, yoga and much more. There will also be lots of lovely people from the local community giving advice and information on local health & environmental issues.
The food, just like everything else, will be boss. Lots for everyone including vegetarian and vegan options and a great range of quality drink including fantastic real ales brewed just yards away at the Stamps Brewery. As always they are keeping the prices realistic for everyone – expect to pay the same as their pub prices – no festival price hikes here. Let’s do this Bootle.
