You can’t buy happiness but you can buy ice cream and that’s kinda the same thing.
On the 8th and 9th July something special will be happening in Liverpool: it’s the first festival dedicated to the wonders of ice cream. The weather will (or rather, should) be shining and there will be different flavours of pure artisanal heaven. That being said, true advocates of ice cream crave its scrumptiousness all-year round. The temperature outside has no bearing on the desire to sink a spoon the size of a ladle into a Mt Everest landscape of ice cream where there’s a race against time to eat it all before it has melted down the sides.
The festival organisers are two Bavarian brothers bound together by blood and the love of ice cream. They’ve hosted some rather successful versions of this in Munich and are now bringing a scoop of the action to Merseyside. All flavours from all over the world. Scoops, cones and sundaes and you know what rhymes with that? Fun days. The cherry on the top? If you’re a local small business and think you can get involved somehow, you can. Contact them on their email icecreamfestival@outlook.com and check out the Facebook events page here. They will be releasing the location and who’s there very soon.
Meet you by the Raspberry Ripple, we’ll be the ones with brain freeze.
