It’s their most ambitious residency to date.

SKAUS started as a Nordic-inspired pop up dining adventure created by Dan and Josh who met in Free State Kitchen. Fuelled by passion for food and a pint or two they got talking and SKAUS had it’s first ever event in April 2017. Nordic inspired, locally sourced yet quintessentially Scouse – the golden trio.

They went from a series of pop-ups in various spaces throughout Liverpool to a first semi-home at Baltic Market and then Dockleaf, the urban local in Cains Brewery. Some months later they moved to HUS on Tithebarn Street where they dished out tasty food all day and night. And after all that popping up and popping down they seem to have found their happy ever after in a Scandi-inspired cafe in Camp and Furnace.

We caught up with the lads:

“Everybody here at SKAUS is ecstatic to finally announce our biggest and most ambitious residency to date.

From Wednesday 24th April we will be launching SKAUS KAFE inside the cosy Camp + Furnace Lobby on a long term contract. We’ve been desperate to trial our cafe concept since the beginning and feel there is no better base for us to do so. We’ve built strong roots in the Baltic Triangle over the last couple of years, and we can’t wait to come home!

SKAUS KAFE will be open Monday to Saturday 9am-6pm serving breakfast/brunch until midday, and then some brand new seasonal small plates until 6pm. Alongside SKAUS KAFE we’ll also be re-launching our own take on the renowned Camp + Furnace Roast, serving every Sunday 12pm-5pm. We’re making duck fat hasselbacks a thing. Fact.

In addition to SKAUS KAFE opening, we will also be taking over all food operations for the Camp + Furnace events calendar. This will give us the opportunity as caterers to expand our concept portfolio, and work side-by-side with one of the UK’s most renowned event venues. It’s a big job, and we can’t wait to get stuck in.

As you can tell, we’re all incredibly excited. We hope to see you all at SKAUS KAFE when we open on Wednesday 24th April and at the many spectacular Camp + Furnace events. The support we’ve had from you all so far has been beyond sensational, and we can’t wait to share this next leg of our journey with you all.

We go again.”

Good luck lads! We’ll be down for an open-sandwich with a side of hasselbacks soon.
