Pasta La Vista, Baby!

Fans of cards and all things Italian – a new eatery is to be opened on Bold Street called La Casa de la Pasta today and it looks pretty spectacular. It forms part of the LIV Organic and Natural Food Market restaurant offering and will cater specifically for vegetarian, vegan and gluten free diets and complements the already successful café and supermarket.

Mr Hassan Ibrahim, the owner, said: “This will be unique due to the fresh, organic ingredients. We have sourced the finest flour from Italy which has been milled twice for even more refinement and also Buckwheat to cater for gluten free customers. All dishes will be prepared from scratch and freshly prepared in front of the customer.”

He added: “We know this will be very popular with our customers and they have already gave us amazing reviews in trials. We employ two Italian chef’s Lorenzo and Alesandro who are experts in preparing pasta dishes with our very own unique sauces.”

LIV Food market, is Liverpool’s first independent organic and vegan natural food store, café, and pasta station, and it was set up 8 months ago initially to cater for the growing healthy alternative food and drink market. However, such has been the success since opening that it’s now had to increase the seating from 50 seats to over 75 seats due to capacity demand.

The menu offers vegan, vegetarian, and special dietary requirements, such as gluten and dairy free. As well as the café and pasta station the store has bespoke individual sectors, selling from natural food and herbs to beauty and skin care products. In fact, the choice is so varied you could be forgiven for thinking you’re in a bazaar.
