Shamrocks, shenanigans and showers of Guinness.

Kiss us we’re Irish. On the 17th and 18th March we’re hosting a St. Patrick’s Day weekender like no other and we want you, yes you, to come and help us drink the bar dry. We will be bringing a little bit of Dublin to The Baltic Triangle where we will once again transform The Great Baltic Warehouse into something special. The event is spread over two days to be sure, to be sure that as many of you leave with the luck of the Irish.

My goodness, my Guinness – there’s enough for everyone. We are delighted to announce Guinness are taking over the bar and they’re bringing buckets of the black stuff to keep us merry all day. Much more than that, we’ve also sourced a collection of beautiful Irish whiskeys and gins to fill you all up with some true Irish spirit. In order to soak up all that Irish fun we will have some amazing local restaurants doing their take on traditional Irish food. Free State Kitchen Liverpool are bringing down their beloved burgers with an Irish beefy twist and a special clam chowder you’ll want to inhale. Everybody’s favourite Meet Frank will be returning with his famous hot dogs with a sprinkle of Irish luck on top. We’re excited to see what the hot dog master will create for the special weekend.

Something many have asked us if we’re going to be showing the Ireland vs England rugby match on the Saturday March 18th and we’re delighted to announce we are. There’ll be a big screen and an even bigger Guinness waiting for you. Laura’s Little Bakery Cake & Cupcake maker in Liverpool will be coming with chocolate Guinness cake, Irish coffee macarons and Bailey’s Irish cream brownies. The rest of the food traders will be announced very soon!

This weekender wouldn’t be a celebration of St. Patrick’s Day without some music to jig to so be prepared for lots of local live bands playing traditional Irish songs to get you all on your feet. The full list of entertainment is coming but expect a special DJ set from Jonny Bongo and don’t be surprised if Loose Moose String Band have you dancing on the benches. We might even play a bit of B*Witched if you’re lucky. All food traders, bands and special announcements will be released between now and March 17th. Please don’t forget that we at Independent Liverpool encourage a balanced diet, which in case you didn’t know, is a Guinness in each hand.

Will we see you there? Argh, go on go on.
