A celebration of breweries, pubs, bars and beer? This is something we can get behind.
Local breweries, pubs and bars across Liverpool City Region are joining forces to celebrate the thriving local real ale and craft beer scene and its increasing contribution to the local economy with the launch of a dedicated Beer Week. Liverpool Beer Collective who are leading on the initiative, will shine the spotlight on locally and creatively brewed beers such as experimental stouts, IPAs and other contemporary styles.
Liverpool Beer Week, taking place from Friday 20th-29th July, will consist of informal tastings, tap takeovers, meet the brewers, beer pairing dinners and other events taking place across some of the city’s best venues. Liverpool Beer Collective will also be working with a number of local breweries to produce some unique, one off beers in a variety of styles. Limited quantities of these will be available to try at participating venues.
It is hoped that through the campaign, we encourage people to discover the wonderful variety of beer styles out there and turn them onto supporting local businesses in the process. Now it doesn’t take much to convince us to go for a beer but as it is all in the name of local business – we have an excuse to drink for 9 days straight. Responsibly, of course.

Head of Liverpool Beer Collective, Pedro Cotzier, says “We’re really looking forward to putting Liverpool and its beer scene front and centre of the city at the end of July. It is a chance for allowing some creativity to blossom, and to get people involved with, talking about and drinking great beer brewed right here in the Liverpool City Region. The Liverpool Beer Week is also a chance to provide a boost to our local economy and our hope is that, like the Liverpool Beer Collective, those attending will leave as enthusiasts and supporters of local craft businesses.”
Liverpool Beer Week will culminate at Liverpool Craft Beer Expo in its new location at the Invisible Wind Factory. Liverpool Craft Beer Expo it’s the largest Craft Beer festival in Liverpool and has been running for 6 years now, where breweries from all over the UK, Europe and the US come to display their beers to festival goers. There is always a brilliant atmosphere and the event usually sells out in advance.
