Marley, our latest repawter, is sniffing out Cow & Co Cafe with her human to see why it’s one of the most popular coffee shops amongst dog owners.
In our newest collaboration with Instagram famous Marley – we sought to discover the dog friendly side of Liverpool. This will lead us to many coffee shops, pubs, events and more. We aim to bring you essential information through the eyes of the dog and human so that you and your best mate can have many wonderful days out together in Liverpool’s best independents.
When was the last time you treated yourself? The last time you were able to just sit down, relax, and let the world pass you by? Well it’s about time you did. First off – the coffee is divine. The world’s friendliest staff are on hand to brew you up a mug full of Origin Coffee with a big smile alongside it. We can assure you, whether you’re having an Americano or an Espresso, the crema is so light on these coffees that you could ditch the mattress and sleep on it instead.
The detail in the café is absolutely remarkable. The Cow&Co opened up in 2012 as a homewares store, offering beautiful independent designs at affordable prices. After a while, they thought that people coming in might want a brew while they were browsing and put in a lovely little coffee machine. Even with its glorious metamorphosis into a neighbourhood café, there’s still a small selection of gift-wares on the cafe shelves, chosen from over 700 products online at cowandco.co.uk, and the cafe is the largest stockist of independent magazines in Liverpool.
Cow & Co is a glorious microcosm of a café, where as soon as you enter through the doors you leave any worries behind you. This little slice of heaven is found only a stone’s throw away from the city centre serving up a glorious serving of tranquility, peace and style. It’s the perfect place to retreat to for working, reading, catching up on some, “me time,” or just to have a coffee and a bite to eat with the pooch.
Things the dogs need to know:
All dogs are warmly welcomed.
There is a great window seat for people/dog watching, DogOne Grooming is conveniently situated next door
Fresh water is provided upon arrival & topped up continuously as required.
You’ll receive plenty of attention and chin scratches from the staff.
Things the humans need to know:
Cow & Co is a lovely hidden gem just on the outskirts of Liverpool City Centre. Situated in the heart of Cleveland Square it’s the perfect pitstop to escape the busy hustle and bustle of the city.
Seasonally changing breakfast and lunch menus ensure your palette will never tire of the options they have to offer, combine this with the locally made fresh bagels and artisan bread and you’re on to a winner. (Veggie & Vegan also available) all food is executed to a very high standard.
There is a balcony level with plenty of space if you fancied going in there with your laptop to get some work done.
Be sure to grab a coffee and cake too
The red velvet cake is ‘melt in your mouth’ kinda dreamy.
