This winter everyone’s favourite enchanting Christmas Ice Festival returns for another year, as Liverpool’s iconic Pier Head is transformed into a winter wonderland.

This will be the third year for the festival at its iconic waterfront location, featuring Liverpool’s biggest ever ice slide and a huge covered outdoor rink giving skaters the chance to glide in style with a stunning backdrop of the world famous Three Graces. Suited for all ages and abilities, from beginners to experts, the rink has a canopy to keep everyone dry whatever the weather and there are plenty of penguin skate aids available to help young skaters stay steady on their blades.

For even faster thrills, the high-speed 30-metre ice run – back with three lanes – is set to be the city’s most exhilarating festive ride as racers hurtle down from six-metres above the festival site. The Ice Jet ride also makes a return following its Liverpool debut in 2017.
The only one of its kind in the UK, it features a fantastic sound and light show, giving festival-goers the ride of their life. Visitors will also be able to enjoy the full family-friendly festival experience with funfair rides for children and adults, and pop-up food and drink stalls serving après skate specialities including sizzling traditional German bratwurst, hot roast rolls, crepes, mulled wine and hot chocolate.

Liverpool Christmas Ice Festival launches on November 10th and runs through Christmas and New Year until January 6th. Closed Christmas Day. For further details, visit www.icefestivalliverpool.co.uk
