Christmas dinner but not like you know it.
Ah, Christmas dinner. Maybe and arguably the most wonderful plate of food in the whole year. Roast potatoes, stuffing, carrot and suede, turkey, Yorkshire puddings and the people’s champ and everyone’s favourite – pigs in blankets. For anyone who says they’re sausages wrapped in bacon, you’re so, so wrong. Depending on what family you were born into, the dinner can either be a pretty rambunctious or reserved affair but rumour has it, there’s one in Liverpool this year that plans to be both. It’s bold, spectacular, magical and has the odd trick up its sleeve; all in the grand and iconic surroundings of the Town Hall.

Sounds pretty normal so far, huh? Here’s the special bit. It has been self proclaimed as ‘cirque meets Vegas for the Scouse generation’ and guests can expect a Cirque Du Soleil style cabaret dinner show in between the meals. Beats the usual interlude of an argument between the uncles. In between the exquisite five course meal there will be entertainment so fierce and enthralling that not even your granddad would fall asleep. Speaking of the food, that is all in the very capable hands of Carrington’s Catering, a local catering company with more than 30 years of experience. As well as smashing out some brilliant food the company also has a big heart and last year for Global Scouse Day donated delicious Scouse to a local kids community centre.
We hope this will be the first of many dominos to be pushed to open up Town Hall for more events like this. It’s incredibly beautiful whilst also being under-utilised. For this event you will be welcomed in typical Vegas style with a red carpet and feathered show girls with the cutting of the bow coming in the form of an explosive whirlwind of dance, song and acrobats. Straight after will be the starter, then followed by a hand balancing adagio just before the mains come out. After the mains, an international speciality act will mesmerise people with a magic and illusion act where things will disappear quicker than the Yorkshire puddings on your plate. The evening will come to a close with a musical maestro after the desserts and a full cast finale before lots of dancing to work off all those pigs in blankets.
Sound good? You know it does. There are only tickets left for the 8th or 16th December so snap them up quick. Contact Carrington’s via email on info@carringtons-catering.co.uk. Tickets are £75, quote “IndieLiv” on email and get a free drink on us!
