Live and free – an unforgettable weekend awaits you.

It’s 1826 in a hospital in Spike Island, Country Cork. A baby boy is born named Robert Cain who would grow up to have quite an influence in Liverpool. The Cains brewery was founded in 1858 when he bought the brewery and within 25 years had established over 200 pubs as well as making Cains a household name. In 1921 Robert Cain sadly died and some decades later so did the brewery. Left derelict for some years, the brewery has undergone some serious change. The facades and the beautiful architecture may look the same but what’s happening behind them couldn’t be more different. Granted, the taps may have run dry but the creativity certainly hasn’t. What was once a place to brew has now become a very special part of Liverpool full of bars, coffee shops, vintage shops, alternative golf, a Peaky Blinders bar and more. And they’re all about to come together to throw a huge free music festival.

On the Saturday and Sunday of the August bank holiday (25th and 26th) Cains Village will see its first ever multi-venue music festival take place from 11am until the early hours of the morning. Cains Brewery Village, located in the ever-popular Baltic Triangle, has become one of the most popular destinations in Liverpool. On an average weekend the village can expect 10,000-15,000 people to walk through the doors and hop from venue to venue. The August bank holiday will be the same but with each venue scheduling two full days of live music. Expect acoustic sessions, disco DJs, folk bands, jazz, funk and soul, indie rock and roll and lots more. The best part? It’s all completely free.

Much more than just music, Cains Village will continue to be a foodie haven for the whole weekend. Wood-fired pizzas, halloumi fries, smoked meats, great coffee and more will keep the party going until the early hours. Red Brick Vintage, Red Brick Hangar and Bijoux & Vintage will also be open for all vintage fans who fancy bagging themselves a timeless classic in between bands. Venues participating are:
