Best idea ever?

There’s even K99er ice creams for all the good boys (and girls!). Central Paws Café is holding a series of pop-up cafes at Studio2 in Parr Street, aimed at dogs, their owners and anyone else who just loves them. In October there will be sessions for dachshunds and French Bulldogs, with more four-legged favourites including bichon frise, shih tzu and pugs, getting their own special events in the run-up to Christmas.

The café creates a friendly get-together for owners and fans of a particular breed, with afternoon tea, special cocktails, doggy beer and treats available for lucky pooches and their well-behaved humans. A full doggy menu will be on offer including mutt loaf, liver cake brownie and doggy prosecco for those who fancy a (non-alcoholic) classy drink with their food.

All pooches will also be given a K99er, because even though summer’s over there’s never a wrong time for whippy ice cream. There’ll be stalls selling accessories for fashion-conscious dogs and owners can have a photoshoot on the day with their best buddy too. Tickets for the Studio2 Central Paws pop-ups are being sold for 90-minute slots at 10am, 12pm and 2pm on Sundays from October 14. It’s £10 general admission, or £5 if you bring along your dog, and under-6s go free.

The first weekend is dedicated to Frenchies, followed by dachshunds on October 21, then dog fans should keep an eye out for their favourite breed via the ticket link: https://www.seetickets.com/tour/central-paws-pop-up-dog-cafe

A percentage of the ticket cost goes to UK dog charities including Dogs Trust.
