Introducing a brand new night at Jacaranda Records Phase one: ICON.
The new night from Jacaranda Records starts at 10pm on Saturday 14th July at Liverpool’s freshest new music spot, Phase One, located on Seel St. For 001, the first installation, the featured icon is the legendary GWEN STEFANI. An artist that is indeed an inspiration to many, she’s a fitting figure to kick off the new dance night.
Gwen Stefani has had an iconic career spanning 3 decades and is well revered in the music community as the co-founder of No Doubt and her stunning solo career; she’s sold more than 30 million albums worldwide. She’s a powerhouse vocalist with an incredible range and spicy tracks; Don’t Speak, Just A Girl, What You Waiting For, Hollaback Girl, to name just a few. Not just a writer, singer, performer, she’s ventured into haute couture fashion, perfumery and also has her own animated series.
Jacaranda Records’ much loved resident DJ, Alex Sweeney, will be spinning music from the queen herself, music that inspired her and music that she has inspired. Expect to hear music from a variety of genres including 2Tone, Reggae, Dancehall, Pop and New Wave with a touch of rap thrown in for good measure.
Featuring a different ‘Icon’ each month, expect to see competitions with featured artist prizes, good music in a stunning location. Best of all, it’s free entry.
