Nostalgia – it’s a wonderful thing isn’t it?
So often we’re all looking forward. Planning the next quarter, our next holiday or our next career path. Sometimes, it’s good to slow down and look back. At the fun, the tragic and the beautiful moments that made you. We’ve decided to compile a list of things that every kid who lived in Liverpool in the 90’s went through at some point in Liverpool. Don’t worry, we’ve got the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and more coming.
Enjoy your trip down memory lane.

Going to Toys R Us was the most exciting thing in the world
Your room was just full of random games from Chipshop 2000

You cried when this closed
You ended up having a pint in Paddy’s Bar at least once
Late Nights Turned To Early Mornings In Quadrant Park
You spent half your childhood anxious you’d be too big to enter Whacky Warehouse
You took the ‘decorate the egg’ competition in primary school way too serious
You took your Tamagotchi to school with you because you couldn’t handle the guilt of it dying
Nothing was more intense than a game of curby
School trips to Deeside ice rink were just the best
You put a coke can on your bike at least once to make it sound like a motorbike
Pleasure Island. Need we say anymore?
You had at least one t-shirt from OPEN
You never really knew what Microzine was
You had full blown arguments about whether Steve’s or Chris’s chippy was better (to be fair, this still happens)
Quiggins was the best place to be in the world
During your goth stage you spent an afternoon at The Courts or The Gardens with kids who went by their Myspace names
Or hanging outside Wally Wong’s with chips and a can of coke
You Spent The Majority Of Your Time Trying To Draw The Cream Logo On The Condensation On Buses
You spent at least one birthday at Hollywood Bowl
And one at Steble Street swimming baths
Everyone knew one kid who got a Nike tick shaved into their head
Who could forget The Palace shopping centre on Slater Street?
Or the heritage market
You watched Liverpool decide this was a good kit
And Everton decide this was a good one, too
This place.
You went to The Krazyhouse when it had just one floor (and a mad kitchen that sold pot noodles)
Every lad doused himself in this for the school disco
And every girl had a bottle of this
Going To Doorsteps For A Casual Cuppa and Bacon Butty at Like 3am
This Was The Best Water Gun Ever
You had at least one rack of ribs at Damons
Mood was literally the best place to be
Okay, maybe second… who could forget Paradox?
You spent night’s terrified of Peg Leg at Colomendy
You thought PGL stood for Parents Get Lost
You danced to at least one gig at The Lomax
