The ground-breaking soap that first aired on Channel 4 in 1982 and ran for a whopping 21 years is getting the quiz night it deserves.
Not just any quiz night and not just any quiz master. Yes, everybody’s favourite and the series’ longest running character Jimmy Corkhill will be playing host. We might even convince him to wear double denim. Not that he’ll need it.
Based in Liverpool, Brookside was different from other soaps in that it was based in real brand-new houses in a real cul-de-sac. During the mid 80s it was Channel 4’s most popular program but sadly stopped some years ago. Controversial storylines, pre watershed lesbian kisses and Tinhead – the soap had it all and for one night, we’re going to celebrate it.
On August 22nd and 23rd Baltic Market will play Brookside Close and Dean Sullivan aka Jimmy Corkhill will be pushing your knowledge to the limits in a heated brawl to name one special team “King of Brookside”. Tickets are £7.50 per person and we recommend teams of 4-6. There will be boss prizes, local beers, cocktails and more available on the night as well as food from two new street food concepts.
Arrive at 7pm, grab yourself a table and a drink and the quiz will start at 8pm each night.
– Free quiz tickets for life, £50 bar tab Baltic Market, brand new Independent Liverpool cards, tickets to see Tinhead in Hair Spray.
– Free round at Ghetto golf, bottle of Prosecco, brand new Independent Liverpool cards.
– Bottle of prosecco.
– Secret surprises will also be up for grabs on the night during bonus rounds
This event is an 18+ only.
